Feral Cat Control: Trap Neuter Return

This project was begun by a group of neighbors who have been besieged by feral cats. Though the cats help keep the roof rat population down, they multiply rapidly. Carting them off to the pound or Humane Society does not really address the problem ; new, unneutered cats will just move into the territory and continue the cycle. So we pool our money and follow the instructions on this site. Using the printout will allow the spay/neuter cost to be just $25 per cat (donation). You can contact Pat Konomos at pat7700@earthlink.net if you want to participate. The site is: http://www.adlaz.org/spay/TNR.htm

Volleyball Courts Get New Life

New sprinklers have been installed by the volleyball courts at Mitchell Park, thanks to the efforts of neighborhood board members and our responsive Tempe Parks Department. The result is less dust and cooler sand. More players are already using the once-neglected courts, and a regular drop-in game is being planned for Thursday evenings at 7:00, beginning July 1. Come and play!

Bountiful Baskets

You pay either $15 for conventional and $25 for an organic basket. It comes with more fruits and veggies then you can buy for that amount in a grocery store. It is a great deal, and great produce! I highly recommend it.
